The “Why” of Work

Along the way in my work life (so far), I have been asked the question "What do you want to be working as in the end?"
That question has never been of prime importance to me, though for personal preferences I'm pretty sure I'd like to be in the infosec industry (as of now I guess?).
The more important guiding principles/question would be "Why do you work?"
Got a good reminder today regarding some core reasons for working:
- To care for family (eg. put food on the table)
- To care for the church (people, work)
- To be of use to society with the work done
I left my first job because it stopped fulfilling all three conditions. Will need to keep on remembering these as I continue to slog work for the most part of my remaining years.
The Day Will Come
(by Mark Peterson)
Full of hope
Full of joy
At the expectation of meeting Him
All our doubts
All our fears
Will evaporate when we see His face
And I know the LORD knows me
Chorus:
And the day will come
And the night will flee
And the earth and sky erupt beautifully
And the One who lives in eternity
Will appear in light to deliver me
I long to see Him look at me
For I know His love for me is real
Like a thief in the night
He will come again at a hour unknown
Be prepared
Be awake
For the warning signs have all been fulfilled
And I know the LORD knows me
(Chorus x 2)
I long to see Him look at me
For I know His love for me is real
(Chorus)
After the camp
It's been two days since the camp ended. Still running through what we learnt from Amos. There're things/lifestyles to be changed. Yes, even for the likes of me...or rather, especially the likes of me.

A quick recap on the main points from Amos (at least from what I could grasp and write down):
