• In good times, don't forget what He gives and provides, and to be thankful in obedience. In bad times, be patient, and keep trusting and obeying.
• The basis for relating to family rightly (e.g. Honour your father and your mother) is in listening to what God commands, after being saved. The parent who is on good terms with you is an added bonus, another blessing in itself.
